Pressure in tires

Pressure in tires is a major factor on which clutching of the tyre with road depends. If the road is wet or slippery, sensitivity to pressure increases repeatedly. The low pressure of tyres of a front axle causes a vehicle understeer, and you can not be entered in turning movement. And if pressure is low in rear axle tyres, excessive understeering appears.

Deterioration of the tyre can tell much about pressure at which it was maintained. If it is above norm the average part of a tread wears out more intensively. And on the contrary, if the most part of time pressure was low, lateral parts of a tread worn out.

To check pressure in tyres of the car or other vehicle it is necessary not less often at once each two weeks or through 2000 km of running, looking what has come earlier. Check up tyres before a long trip. To receive correct results, the tyre should be "cold", not were in movement last two hours because temperature and, hence, pressure raise at movement.

In tyres of one axle pressure should be identical. The difference of pressure for different axles is supposed.

So what should be pressure in tyres? It should correspond to the pressure specified in operating instructions of vehicle.
