How to make cooling system for notebook

A lifetime of semiconductor elements strongly depends on temperature at which they work. Often standard system of cooling of the notebook badly copes with the big loadings, therefore coolers should work at the full capacity. And in a mode without loading, in the majority of laptops from time to time the fan starts, distracting attention on itself. Such variable on-off of a cooler conducts to jumping of temperature of the processor that negatively affects its operation life. After all the body at heating extends, and at cooling is narrowed. Let these changes in the sizes make million shares of micron, however in due course the semiconductor grows old.

To prolong a life to the notebook, right after its purchases I have decided to make cooling system. Having seen on the Internet different devices, I have noticed that the majority of them cool directly the laptop case. Their efficiency is very low. But after all in each notebook there are ventilating apertures through which the radiator is visible. And this radiator cools the processor and other components. Means, it is necessary to help for the built-in cooler to take away heat from a radiator:

I have Asus X51RL. Before installation of this device the processor temperature in a quiet operating mode rose to 55 degrees, the regular fan then joined, reduced temperature to 47 degrees and was switched off. And so each five minutes. Naturally, it harmed to the processor and my nerves. After installation of man-made system of cooling the processor temperature constantly keeps on a mark of 43-45 degrees. That is the temperature has decreased on the average on 10 degrees. The regular cooler has a rest. It switches on sometimes on the lowest speed in games. The device exhausts air through a radiator, therefore the general temperature of the laptop has decreased. For example, the hard disk before system installation heated up to 45-50 degrees, and now - no more than 40.

Design is very simple. The case is made of a piece of a cardboard from a folder for papers. Basically, it can be made of everything. The fan is regular 120 mm cooler for the system block on 12 volt. It is possible to feed it from the built in USB-port, but there is a risk to burn it at short circuit. Therefore it is better to buy the most simple power unit on 12 volt. The cardboard and cooler are pasted by glue and in addition fixed by an isolation tape. The entrance aperture of cooling system should tightly adjoin to an aperture of notebook's radiator.
